Welcome, anglers from the shore.  If this is your first time here,
go ahead and check out all the links and get familiarized.  This site is designed for the self-starter with the volition to seek knowledge.  If you want it all spelled out for you, don't bother hanging around.  I have no patience with those who are unwilling to make an effort.  This is the best place for those kinds of "anglers":

The best way to use this site is to read the articles and even copy them down.  I'm fine with that but not with plagiarism, and I will respond to thieves, liars, and assholes with extreme prejudice.

Take whatever you can and apply it on the water.  What works, keep on using; what does not work, discard.  The individual's experience is far more pertinent than theory or description.

I feel that the best use of this site comes AFTER you've poured through articles and gleaned some working knowledge to take with you on a fishing excursion.  Then you can return and hit the Weather & Tides  page (or just copy the links) to gather meteorological data to determine the best strategy for the next angling trip.  I no longer offer fishing reports but if you are a wise fisherman,  you will visit the archives and check out the old weekly reports for useful information concerning trends and conditions.

Don't chase rumors, BE the source of them.  You will be happier if you get off your ass and make things happen.  You will also be a better angler.  And quite often you will be able to fish without crowds.
